Visitors to Westfield's Chermside mega-mall monstrosity are spoiled for choice when it comes to sushi; there are at least three options to choose from, and they are all rather good. Sushi Deli is attached to Hanaichi; by both name (Sushi Deli Hanaichi) and actual physical location, in the "Gympie Road entrance" food court. If you balk at the idea of eating food court sushi, I understand - because it's often quite frightful. But not this time.
I acquired a brace of "Crunchy Spicy Tuna" rolls, and set to work. Immediately, I noticed the delightful texture and superb flavour of their fresh tuna, chilli and crisp cucumber. These guys actually know what they're doing - and care enough to try to do it properly - which is always heartening. Consequently, Sushi Deli posts respectably solid results for all criteria, with the exception of the nori (which tended towards soggy).
